The Global Technical Support Centre (GTSC) located in Bucharest, provides high technical service and support for Microsofts European Enterprise and Development customers.

The center is part of Microsoft Global Support Operations and is staffed by highly skilled technical specialists in enterprise Platforms, Business and Developer Applications.

For the Technical Support Centre Romania, Microsoft is looking for a Technical Engineer- MS Project, located in Bucharest. The centre will provide advanced technical services and support for Microsoft?s customers across Europe.
Start Date: ASAP
Period: 1 year contract

JOB PROFILE

? The candidate will communicate with customers, internal engineers and appropriate MS subsidiary staff via electronic correspondence or telephone.
? Will solve complex level of problems, involving broad, in-depth product knowledge or in-depth product specialty redirected by the Global Technical Support Center or escalated by EMEA subsidiary sites.
? Provide solutions that satisfy customers which will involve handling difficult situations.
? Take an active role in challenging and suggesting enhancements on existing processes and workflows. Develop own technical knowledge on products/technologies related to the team scope.
? Write and review technical articles or sample programs in order to distribute technical information to all customers, internal engineering and subsidiary staff.

Cerinte

The ideal candidate will be required to have a Technical Degree or adequate practical background (~2 years) on the following Technologies:
? Knowledge of the HTTP/HTML, Scripting with VB, Java
? Web Server knowledge, IIS6 or other Web Applications
? Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Infrastructure)
? Operating system (Windows XP, 2003; NLB, DNS, Networking, Protocols, Domain ? MCSE2000/2003)
? Project Management Theory
? Database know how (MS SQL2000/2005; Analysis Services 2000/2005; MSDE, WMSDE, SQL Expression; SQL Embedded)
? Project Professional/Standard 2003/2007, Project Server 2003/2007, Project Portfolio Server 2007
? Window SharePoint Services version 2 and version 3 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
? FrontPage would an beneficial extra qualification (will be considerate an advantage)
? Programming skills e.g. C#; ASP.NET or other programming background would a beneficial extra qualification (will be considerate an advantage)
? Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

? Strong working knowledge of English and German or French (verbal and written) it?s a must;
? Communication skills in international environment;
? Willingness to improve technical skills and language skills ;
? Customer-oriented attitude
