- CONTEXT OF THE ROLE:
- The Finance Manager Romania will manage and direct the accounting and financial management activities of TechTeam Global’s legal entities in Romania, while working within the Finance department and closely with the Financial Controller EMEA, assisting the Director of Finance, EMEQA. - Activities include implementing, establishing and maintaining TechTeam Global’s accounting principles, practices, procedures and internal controls in line with requirements from EMEA and US Senior Finance Management.
- The jobholders has overall responsibility for the general accounting function in Romania and acts as a subject matter expert and the ‘go to’ person for all internal control and accounting issues facing Romanian Management and European Executive Management.
- As the most senior Finance position in Romania the jobholder is member of the Romanian Management Team.
- The jobholder provides support and advice to Finance and European Executive Management on new financial legislation and accounting issues.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manages, supervises and motivates staff ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing, account analysis, reconciliations and required tax returns
- Oversees the month-end closing and reporting processes in Romania; sets and communicates deadlines and defines responsibilities
- Conducts regular review and verifications of records for accuracy, compliance with internal controls (SOX 404), standards, policies and procedures. Ensures that regular and timely reconciliations are being done and that Monthly Audit Files are being kept up to date.
- Has day to day responsibility and accountability for the implementation and maintenance in Romania of the EMEA-wide Sarbanes Oxley initiative
- Analyses and improves the financial control procedures and develops and adapts policy and procedure instructions/manuals for accounting department.
- Assists the Financial Controller, EMEA in development and implementation of EMEA-wide policies and procedures; compiles recommendations for modifications and improvements to systems and procedures
- Works with auditors, both internal and external, to explain accounting procedures and to prepare financial data to facilitate internal audits and annual audits and implements both internal as external audit findings and recommendations
- Supports the Director of Finance, EMEA and peers such as Financial Controller and Finance Manager, EMEA on a wide variety of ad hoc financial reporting issues including the interpretation and application of accounting principles and pronouncements.
- Makes sure that other colleagues and departments comply with the internal procedures, the management decisions and the legal requirements; collaborates with other colleagues and departments to establish or improve working procedures, provide solutions tailored to business needs. - Cerinte
- - Master degree (university degree) in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Applied Economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably within an international company.
- Proven accounting and analytical skills and.
- Previous experience in people management.
- Highly organized professional, ability to perform multiple tasks
- Business partner approach.
- Advanced communication skills.
- English advanced.
- Technical skills: Good knowledge of US GAAP, IAS/IFRS and Romanian Accounting Principles, tax legislation and regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of financial audit and internal control compliance.
- Knowledge of Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows NT/2K/XP); Internet Explorer, User knowledge of Financial Packages or accounting software programs (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, CODA,…) - Oferta (bonusuri, beneficii)
